Meta OS 1.0 — program index

Eight programs, one machine, no cloud in the loop.

Meta's first agentic reverse-engineered operating system.

These are the divisions of Meta OS, each split out of the single console they used to share. Every page runs on the machine it is installed on: the maps, the camera fields and the lab data are local files, and the agent panel in each program talks to a local model endpoint rather than a vendor API.

An autonomous, multi-agent platform, reverse-engineered from first principles: its agents perceive, reason, and act around the clock. Agentic by design. Autonomous by default. Perception-driven, intent-orchestrated, ambient, always on.

Vigiles

Police / command

City camera field with the boroughs drawn from local geometry, a ranked list of watched feeds, and a duty agent that reads the board.

Ignis

Fire / response

Fire hotspots from the satellite feed beside the wall cameras, with the map as the way to switch between them.

Medicus

EMS / triage

Incident cards, a pitched map, and per-camera assessments the agent can quote back when you ask what to call first.

Aegis

Security / findings

Findings on record, each one linked to the file it came from, with the KEV catalogue beside it. Read-only by design.

Officina

Workshop / build

The build bench: blueprints, parts and the pipeline stages a workshop keeps in view while something is being made.

Custos

Watch / custody

A watch board that holds what is being kept and why, with the record of who changed what.

Musica

Music / notes

Piano roll, note editing and generated takes served from the local library instead of a streaming service.

Science Lab

Lab / molecules

Molecule viewer with real geometry shipped as local data, rendered by a bundled three.js with a 2D fallback that says why it fell back.
